Suggestions for Pakistani Toddlers’ Eating Habits
The eating habits of toddlers in Pakistan are a big problem. Parents are often heard complaining that their toddler doesn’t eat anything. There are a couple of reasons for that.
Poor Eating Habits
Parents love to cook special dishes that appeal to their young toddlers, but obviously this practice cannot go on forever: toddlers will not develop a taste for the family’s routine meals. Instead they fill their stomachs with biscuits, ice cream, chocolate bars, etc. Some parents let them drink as much milk as they want, but this keeps them from eating proper, nutritious meals.
Spicy Food
Often parents try to provide food that is not spicy, as it is considered unhealthy for children. However, this trend ultimately leads to poor eating habits because kids don’t develop a taste for spicy food, which is an integral part of the Pakistani life style. It’s recommended that parents let their kids eat the family meal, regardless of how spicy it is. By and by, children will start eating spicy food, and parents won’t have to face the problem of fussy eaters.
